Women's Ving TSun for the resistance

By Sifu Sarah C. Vyvial

I Know Why You’re Here

You’re angry. You’re tired. You’ve had enough.

In times when political systems are increasingly authoritarian, and moral clarity is under siege, the world feels heavier, harsher, and more dangerous for women and those who identify as women, including LGBTQIA individuals. Your rights, safety, and autonomy are under attack. You feel the weight of a system that refuses to protect you.

This is where Ving Tsun Kung Fu comes in. Ving Tsun training equips us with the tools to face both the physical and ideological battles ahead. When we train, we are not just preparing for personal defense—we are preparing to fight for a world that reflects our values of justice, equality, and freedom. Here, you’ll join a community that understands your anger, your determination, and your need for action. Let’s channel that frustration, fear, or anger into purposeful movement and growth.

Strength for the Fight Ahead

Ving Tsun was crafted with a revolutionary intent. Originally created by women for self-defense and to resist oppressive forces, Ving Tsun was designed with the purpose of overthrowing corrupt governments and oppressive systems. It’s rooted in a history of resistance, where those without physical advantage used intelligence, precision, and efficiency to challenge power structures that sought to control them. Ving Tsun’s principles of speed, precision, and adaptability allowed practitioners to stand strong in the face of overwhelming odds, using the opponent’s strength against them and turning weakness into power.

Today, this history of resistance remains central to Ving Tsun’s philosophy. It’s a martial art that teaches you not just to protect yourself, but to think strategically, outmaneuver your opponents, and stand firm against systems of oppression.

Why Now? Because You Deserve to Feel Safe and Strong

This is a space for women and all who identify as women, including LGBTQIA individuals to rise—together. In times like these, when the future may feel uncertain, and the political landscape looking more hostile with every passing day, it’s more important than ever to have a community that stands together with a shared sense of purpose.

While other martial arts may welcome anyone—regardless of their political beliefs or moral compass—we are intentional about the space we create. We believe in training alongside people who share not only a commitment to personal growth, but a commitment to justice and integrity. We foster a space for those who want to protect themselves, their communities, and their values in a sustainable, ethical way. Those who support systems of oppression, who vote to undermine human rights, or who embrace harmful ideologies have no place here.

Empowerment Through Skill-Building

Ving Tsun offers practical, efficient self-defense techniques that is about strategy, technique, and control. It teaches you how to remain calm under pressure and use your own body’s natural mechanics to protect yourself and assert your space—whether that's in the face of an attacker or in the everyday battles against systematic oppression that’s growing stronger every day. It’s about using what you’ve got—your body, your mind, and your energy—in the most efficient way possible using precision, leverage, and timing to overcome size, strength, or brute force.

Ving Tsun prioritizes sustainability and longevity. It’s a practice built for the long haul—strengthening both body and mind. The movements are rooted in principles that enhance longevity, improving both physical and mental health over time. There’s no need for excessive physical strain or high-impact techniques that leave you worn out or injured.
