Women's Training Schedule

Ving Tsun Kung Fu is named after a woman who, legend says, needed a fighting style that would help her win a fight against a warlord who wanted to force her to marry him. It is a system of techniques that allow a smaller person to defend themselves against a larger, stronger, attacker. This makes it ideal for women to learn for the purposes of self-defenseOur women's classes provide a focused, safe environment for women to train real kung fu without the distractions, intimidation, or restraints that can come in training with men. For at least the first year of training, women will train exclusively with other women, building up their precision and techniques along with their physical power.

Standard Training Program

The Women’s Program at Moy Yat Kung Fu Academy is unique in that it provides an environment for women to excel in martial arts and ultimately learn effective self-defense against larger, stronger attackers. It provides a focused, working environment where a woman can develop skill and power. Women will train exclusively with other women in the program and are separate from the men’s program. When a student begins, each class is an hour long. Over time, as the student progresses, more training time becomes available in this program.

Private Training Program

This program is designed for those students seeking a higher level in their training and skill development. In addition to the Standard Training Program, these students receive one private lesson per week with the Sifu or Simo of the school.

Additional Training

The International Moy Yat Family Kung Fu Association, the Moy Tung Kung Fu Family Association, and Moy Yat Kung Fu Academy regularly offer a range of local and national seminars focusing on particular topics of kung fu training. Seminars are generally open to active members and are designed as a complement to regular instruction and training.
