Kettlebell Sport  

Increase your work capacity, strength, and endurance with the classic Kettlebell Sport lifts. Train high level details for efficient movement in swings, cleans, jerks, snatch, and long cycle. TXKB's Kettlebell Sport class is not simply hard, mindless work; you'll be a better, more intelligent lifter by the end of the hour. 

Prerequisite Notes: 

*KB Sport class attendees must completed either a 90' Kettlebell Foundations Intro class (typically on Saturdays), OR two 60' weekday Foundations classes.



Foundations: Basics (Push & Pull)

Foundations is TXKB's introductory-level, technique orientation for those new to Kettlebell Sport lifts. This is where you start. Learn highly detailed movement patterns coupled with a high volume and relaxation; the primary emphasis is on time under tension and the length of the set rather than the number of reps per set. Foundations classes may include content on various types of swings, cleans, snatch, presses, push-presses, jerks, and long cycle. 

Prerequisite Notes:

Foundations is perfect for all level athletes. Interest, enthusiasm, and comfortable training clothes/shoes is all that is required. 


Push

Press, Push Press, and Jerk -- Learn technique details of these three classic Kettlebell Sport lifts. These 'pushing' movements are part of the same progressive system. Class content includes basic instruction on executing kettlebell presses, push presses, and performing the jerk, in the safest, most efficient manner possible.

The combination of the PULL and PUSH Foundations classes will give attendees comprehensive understanding of the core kettlebell sport movements. These Foundations classes are appropriate for all levels, from those that have never touched a kettlebell to more advanced lifters interested in honing their technique.

Pull

Swing, Clean, and Snatch -- Learn technique details of these three classic Kettlebell Sport lifts. These 'pulling' movements are part of the same progressive system. Class content includes basic instruction on executing kettlebell swings, cleaning the bell to the rack position, and performing the snatch, in the safest, most efficient manner possible. 

The combination of the PULL and PUSH Foundations classes will give attendees comprehensive understanding of the core kettlebell sport movements.

These Foundations classes are appropriate for all levels, from those that have never touched a kettlebell to more advanced lifters interested in honing their technique.

Kettlebell Fitness

Use kettlebells for a high-paced, high intensity training session in our fitness class. You will find the same attentiveness to technique and good form here as in our Foundations and Sport groups, but with a bit more diversity, including multi-hand switches and non-competition/classic lifts. Presses, squats, and deadlifts are fair game too!
